Public Relations & Communications Coordinator Job Description

Position: Public Relations & Communications Coordinator (1 Year Term Contract)

Status: Full-Time (Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm)

Reports To: Executive Officer

Public Relations & Communications Coordinator purpose:

The Public Relations & Communications Coordinator will develop and manage all Association communications with

internal and external parties to ensure the highest level of quality, clarity and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate the development and maintenance of the Association website, database system, social media sites and REALTORLink® intranet site

Act as editor of all member communications including but not limited to a monthly newsletter, e-blasts, member surveys and messages on the MLS® System as required

Distribute membership communication as required

Design and distribute monthly, quarterly and annual statistical reports

Acts as a liaison with local media for articles, press releases, presentations, etc.

Promote and assist with various membership events including professional development opportunities and training

Provide support for office computer programs and technology

Functions as a team member providing backup where needed – MLS®, Membership, Accounting

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum 2-5 years of office experience

Post-Secondary training in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field

Demonstrated understanding of various aspects of marketing and communications management

Advanced use of Adobe programs and Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)

Proficiency in using social media, graphic design and internet based applications

Familiarity with non-profit membership associations and/or the real estate industry considered an asset
Current valid driver’s license and insurance
