FINTRAC – What you need to know

FINTRAC has shifted their focus from education to enforcement and REALTORS® have found themselves fighting deficiency letters and penalty notices.
To avoid those situations, this session will clearly set out FINTRAC’s expectations and ways to meet them:

- Policies and Procedures
- Training Programs
- Compliance Reviews
- Reporting
- Record Keeping
- Client Identification
The segment will also address dealing with FINTRAC examinations, including:
- How FINTRAC selects the companies they review
- How they conduct their exams
- Consequences of a bad exam
- How to prepare
- What to expect
- How to respond afterwards
The first half (1:00 pm – 2:30 pm) of the session will be more specific to Brokers of Record/Broker Managers
The second half (2:30 pm – 4:00 pm) of the session will be more specific to Salespeople.
