Government Relations

The Government Relations Committee is comprised of members throughout our areas to cover our vast jurisdiction. The Lakelands Association and our Government Relations committee have a strong relationship with our local, provincial, and federal representatives.  Part of the role of the Committee is to advocate and lobby on various issues regarding homeownership and other important items.

October 15-17, 2023: CREA PAC Days (Ottawa)
Since 1985, CREA’s annual PAC Days conference in Ottawa has brought REALTORS® from across Canada to our Nation’s Capital to meet with their local Members of Parliament (MPs) to discuss issues of importance to homeowners, aspiring homeowners and communities.

November: Ontario REALTOR® Party Conference (PAC)
The Ontario REALTOR® Party is a group of OREA’s most politically engaged members. Your Government Relations Committee will meet with local elected officials to get real results for REALTORS® at Queen’s Park.
